how to code a block quote in html

In this tut, I will be showing you how to code a block quote in html. This is similar to coding a heading, but different in some ways.
Once again, I will spell the code out like I did before. I.E. less insteade of just typing <.

in order to do this, you will have to type the following.
<blockquote>
this is the opening tag. Now, you will type the text that goes in the block quote.
next, type
</blockquote>
.
now, you have your block quote. here is an example.

Hello, I really enjoy blogging. Also, I hope you know, this is an example block quote

how to code a heading level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

In this how to post, you will learn some more html code.
Note, I will spell things out so that the computer doesn’t get confused and put the actual heading instead of just the code. I.E. less instead of <.

In order to do this, you will need to type:
less h1 greater. This is the opening tag. now, you need to type what the heading title is. for example, news.
Now, you will type less slash h1 greater
That is the closing tag.
in the example below, I will type less h1 greater sample heading less slash h1 greater, but in code, and not spelled out.

example heading

Note, that you can do this with 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 level headings, just replace both 1’s in the opening and closing tags, the h1 part, and instead, just put either h2, h3, h4, h5, or h6.
I hope this was useful. Please comment if it was.

why do I write this blog?

If your ever wondering, “Why do you write this blog?” well, here is the answer. In early 2011, I was thinking about starting a journal. This was early February, so I didn’t know what to do. I had been contimplating on whether to use a notebook or not, but by april, I decided not to. So around April 15, I started researching blogging platforms. I found something called “wordpress.org,” but you had to install it on a web server. so, I didn’t use it, and instead, I kept looking. Then, I came across blogger, but didn’t like it much, because it had a lot of back-links back to blogger.com. So, I still kept looking. On April 20, I found wordpress.com. I must’ve used wordpress.com before, because you will learn why later on in this post.
Well anyway, I tried to sign up, but it said that my email was already taken.
For the rest of that afternoon, I tried different credentials. Then, I found the right ones, and logged in. Then, I created a blog. All of the addresses were taken, so I just angerly typed “furiethwopat.wordpress.com” in the box and registered it.
I wasn’t happy with the address, and didn’t know how to change it, so I registered a new one at “stevendaughertysblog.wordpress.com.” If you are a new visitor, you may not know, that address was the previous address of this blog.
Months went by with this blog and that address, until I decided that it was too long. So, I changed it to “sssjournal.wordpress.com.” That is what it remains today, and that is my story on how I got this blog.

how my day went

today, I got up, and got ready and took Libby to vollentear with her coach for goalball. Then, me and my mom went and saw the kittens, as you saw in the previous post, and then came home and ate lunch. After lunch, I watched tv and my mom picked up Libby Then, we went to Dallas strings, and got libby a new violen because her’s had a crack in it. Then we just sat around, and I played on the computer and watched TV. Then, I went outside and dug holes in my back yard, then ate dinner. Then, me and my sister taused a goalball back and forth until I got on the blog. That is all I did today.
